Obituary for Margaret Lloyd

Margaret Mary Lloyd, dearly beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother passed away Friday, surrounded by her large family at her home in North Salem, New York. Born in Brooklyn April 1st, 1933, she was the eldest daughter of Denis and Margaret McHugh. Margaret grew up as one of seven children and was given the gift of her Catholic faith by her parents, which she passed on to her own seven children along with her beloved husband Frank, a marriage of close to 60 years. Throughout her life, Margaret was completely devoted to the service of God and her family, helping put her children through Catholic schools, and volunteering her time at St. Joseph’s Parish and school. She had been a Eucharistic minister and caregiver of the elderly, volunteered at Rosary Hill in Hawthorne, as well as on the local ambulance corp in North Salem. Margaret’s greatest love was to serve others, for family to come together and eat!!! She was an example of lifelong faith and provided her children with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother of God.
Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband Frank X. Lloyd, her brothers Denis, Tom, and sister Maureen. She is survived by her sisters Arlene and Mary, brother John, and brothers and sister in laws Rich, Bob, Bernadette, Maureen and Kathy, her seven children, Frank Lloyd (Anna), Denis Lloyd (Bill Noonan), Christine Trezza (Steve),
Jean Paulson (Mike), John Lloyd, Jennifer Barclay, and Daniel Lloyd (Brandi). Margaret has twelve grandchildren whom she adored: Sharon,Theresa, Christine, Diane, Kelly, Kimberly, Kerry, Elizabeth, Robert, Jessica, Sarah, and Gregory. She has ten great grandchildren and a new great great grandson. She also has many loving nieces and nephews. Margaret’s passing leaves her family with broken hearts but with the comfort of the knowledge that she is reunited with their dad and at peace in heaven.
